Tell us a little bit about Patty Long Catering. What makes your organization unique in St. Louis?

Patty Long Catering has been a part of the St. Louis catering scene for 30 years. Our name has become synonymous with great food and great service. As a woman owned business, the company was founded and is still operated by Joan Long. Her love for food, fun, and philanthropy spill over to all the members of Patty Long Catering. We are a passionate group of people who love what they do and can’t wait to cater your wedding and be part of your special day!

What item(s) do you guys provide that every bride should have on her menu?

Seared scallop over parsnip cream with a drizzle of white truffle oil on top. Always a crowd pleaser at cocktail hour and tastes fabulous with a glass of bubbly!

Chianti Braised Beef Short Rib Ravioli topped with Frizzled Leeks. This dish has wowed wedding guests time and time again. Your family and friends are guaranteed to be talking about this meal for the foreseeable future.

What’s the most unique reception you’ve done in the last year and why?

This past year we had the pleasure of hosting and catering the wedding of a couple looking to celebrate their diverse cultures. Our sales manager worked closely with the bride to create a beautiful and tasty menu representing the groom’s Indian culture and the bride’s Mexican heritage. The kitchen created beautiful, vibrant plates that showcased essential flavors and ingredients of both cultures. And to top it off, our staff performed a white glove dinner service to enhance the richness and atmosphere of the meal. We love new challenges and new opportunities to showcase our talented staff!

Full Service. We strive to provide the most complete and comprehensive catering service around. Clients shouldn’t have to lift a finger and we to go above and beyond our client’s expectations. Whatever need a bride may have, Patty Long Catering is there to accommodate. Whether it’s creating a custom menu to renting a mechanical bull, there is no detail too big or small!

Silver Oaks Chateau has thought of every amenity possible for their clients as well as vendors. Everything from the vendor parking, to load in spots, prep area and bar set ups, it is by far the most comfortable and stress-free venue we have the pleasure of working in.
