Tell us a little bit about Sugarfire Smoke House. What makes your organization unique in St. Louis?

We built Sugarfire Smoke House® to be different than most St. Louis City and County, St. Charles County, and Franklin County BBQ restaurants. From the use of local ingredients, to the awesome culinary exploits of our world-trained chefs and pit masters, the award winning barbecue we make is exceptional. Much of what we provide at our restaurants in Central and Southwest St. Louis County (Olivette, and Valley Park), St. Louis City (Downtown), O' Fallon (Winghaven), St. Charles (Elm Point), and Washington MO (Riverfront) is very unconventional. Most St. Louis area barbecue restaurants have a limited traditional menu. That's not the case at Sugarfire Smoke House! Like many St. Louis BBQ restaurants we offer the best traditional smoked meats like award winning baby back ribs, juicy pulled pork, and the best beef brisket in town. We also offer the best Artisan BBQ in town! Our Artisan BBQ will delight your taste buds with unconventional, unique, and adventurous flavor combinations you can't find at other St. Charles, O' Fallon, St. Louis, or Washington MO barbecue restaurants. 

Our background is more than BBQ too.  French, Italian, Spanish, Cuban, Mediterranean, and BAKING!  Homemade pies, cookies and cobblers too!  We have brought all of these cuisines to weddings around the country for over 17 years. 

What item(s) do you guys provide that every bride should have on her menu?

Smoked beef brisket and bacon wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese topped with a balsamic drizzle, and for those Sunday brunch lovers- pulled pork benedict.

What’s the most unique reception you’ve done in the last year and why? 

Definitely a taco bar.  We made fresh mango and pineapple salsa, corn and black bean salsa, and a fire roasted red pepper salsa, fresh avocado, buttermilk sour cream, and pico de gallo toppings with choice of corn or flour tortillas, smoked salmon, pulled pork, brisket, and fresh ahi tuna meat options.  That was Silver Oaks first wedding, and a blast.
