February 25th Wedding

February 25, 2017 Silver Oaks Chateau Team

Not only were Kevin and Lizzie crazy about each other, but these two stole our hearts from the first time they walked through the doors of Silver Oaks Chateau.

For this chilly February afternoon, the Grand Hall went from a stunning indoor ceremony to a romantic reception all while guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the upper and lower foyer. Photographer A. Gillardi brought this wedding to life in every shot - we wish we could celebrate these newlyweds all over again!

February 18th Wedding

February 18, 2017 Silver Oaks Chateau Team

This couple is what great love songs are made of. Not only are these two obviously crazy about each other, but this groom even surprised his bride (and all their guests) with a heartfelt number at the end of their reception! Yes, we have photo proof.

Chloe and Corey got married on an unseasonably warm February afternoon and enjoyed a cocktail hour on our patio after an off-site ceremony. We love every shot from Imageclairity and dreamy garlands by Roses and Mint.

"I knew immediately after touring Silver Oaks that we would be booking. What a wonderful decision this ended up being! Aside from it's natural and crafted beauty, the SO team was amazing to work with and made the process simple and stress free from start to finish. This venue rental was worth every penny and more. Silver Oaks Chateau is a phenomenal venue all around. Every single detail is well thought out and it is literally perfected for wedding receptions. Our guests absolutely LOVED this space. After seeing it in person, I'm sure this will be an easy decision for any bride but I can confirm that the service matches this unbelievable venue. If I could go back and do it all again, I would choose this venue every time."

December 18th Wedding

December 18, 2016 Silver Oaks Chateau Team

What's more romantic than looking outside on the morning of your wedding and finding a fresh blanket of snow?!

Keith and Elizabeth tied the knot on a chilly Sunday afternoon, and let me just say, this couple was an easy one to celebrate. Not only were they completely adorable and so kind, but they both smiled the entire day. It was infectious!

We love that this newlywed's photographer, Meg White, found picture perfect moments in unique spots all around Silver Oaks. Don't just take our word for it!

If you're looking at this photo and asking yourself, "Did this couple get married in front of a wood burning fireplace on a perfectly cool fall evening and look insanely elegant and romantic the whole time?"

Your answer is yes, yes they did.

With guests wrapped in fleece blankets and Patty Long servers waiting behind closed doors with hot tomato soup, this ceremony was one of our absolute favorites of 2016. We wish this precious couple nothing but the best. And thank you White Klump  for sharing your work and letting us relive this day all over again!

October 28th Wedding + Interview!

October 28, 2016 Silver Oaks Chateau Team

Bryan and Kelsey may be newlyweds, but that doesn't mean the first dates are over! We fell so in love with this couple, that we finally worked up the courage to ask them if they felt the same way about us. Luckily, this beautiful bride and groom said yes! Consider this our official DTR talk.

There are so many options when choosing a wedding venue! How did you decide on Silver Oaks Chateau?

You know that saying when you know, you know? I feel like that saying could have been the motto for the whole wedding process. With the guy, the venue, the dress, just everything. When I knew, I knew and there was no changing my mind. I remember pulling up to Silver Oaks Chateau for the first time, only a short week after being engaged, and being in complete awe. I think I can speak for both Bryan and myself when I say that we knew from the moment we stepped foot in Silver Oaks that this was the place we wanted to get married. From the beautiful reception hall, to the surrounding landscape and of course the gorgeous bride suite, we both couldn’t help but fall in love with Silver Oaks Chateau. It might sound corny, but I actually got the chills and cried happy tears when we booked the venue the very next day. I told you, when I know, I know!

Lots of couples say their wedding day goes by so quickly. Did you feel like you were able to relax and enjoy the big day?

Through out the whole planning process I had so many people tell me something will inevitably go wrong on the big day. I can honestly say everything went as smoothly as I had hoped, that is unless I just wasn’t told about it, which is very possible. From the moment we got into the bridal suite to walking down the hill to see Bryan for the first time to saying our I dos and celebrating at the reception, I was able to enjoy every aspect of our big day. There wasn’t one moment where I had to think about the vendors, the decorations or the details of the day. It was so nice to be able to soak up every moment of the whole day and truly be fully invested in Bryan and the loved ones who were helping us celebrate.

Your ceremony was outdoors (and gorgeous!) but rain or cold weather is often a factor. How did you feel about possibly doing an indoor ceremony?

I was completely open to an indoor ceremony. I remember seeing pictures of other brides who had their ceremony indoors and was still in utter shock at how beautiful it looked. Silver Oaks is a beautiful venue and I really think even if it would have rained, our day would have been just as beautiful. The only thing I really wanted outdoors were the pictures. Luckily it was a beautiful almost 80-degree day in October and the fall colors were AMAZING!

Do you have a favorite spot in the estate or on the grounds of Silver Oaks Chateau?

It’s so hard to pick a favorite spot at Silver Oaks. Everything is just breathtaking. Bryan and I did our first look down the trail and in the middle of the woods. With the fall colors, wheat and leaves it was absolutely beautiful. It was private and just made that moment between Bryan and I more special. Of course, I couldn’t help but fall in love with the bridal suite every time I stepped in it as well. It was perfect for all us girls to spend the day getting ready in!

Planning a wedding can be stressful and time consuming. Did you feel like the team at Silver Oaks Chateau was helpful in the planning process?

Callie and the rest of the team at Silver Oaks were more than helpful when it came to the planning process. In college I worked for a wedding planner and was able to really see the benefit of having one especially when it came to making sure everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding. The fact that they provided a day of coordinator is one of the main reasons I picked Silver Oaks. From planning how the reception was going to be set up, to helping us plan the ceremony, to making sure everything ran smoothly and everyone was where they were supposed to be on the day of the wedding, Callie was there every step of the way. As I said before, I don’t think I could have asked for the day to go any smoother and I really believe that is all because of the wonderful staff at Silver Oaks and the various vendors we had.

If you could give one piece of advice to a bride just beginning to plan out her big day, what would you say?

My big piece of advice would be to relax. While it may seem very overwhelming at first, things will come into place one by one. If you get too wrapped up in making everything perfect, you lose sight of what’s really important, the bond between two people who love each other. Because at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what table decorations you use or the song you dance to, what really matters is that you’re marrying your best friend. So relax and enjoy the process because it really does go by in the blink of an eye.

One of our favorite parts of being a new business is we're always trying something new!

Jess and Dillon brought a totally unique vision to the Silver Oaks outdoor ceremony. Thanks to planning and design by Simcha's Events, this new set-up has quickly become one of our favorites! Photos by L Photographie and florals by Tina Barrera are just two reasons to love this wedding even more.

September 30th Wedding

September 30, 2016 Silver Oaks Chateau Team

If two people were ever more in love, easier to celebrate, and totally full of joy on their wedding day, then I just haven't met them yet.

Which may be why Matt and Julie's wedding was one of our biggest yet at over 250 guests! Their family, friends, and loved ones couldn't wait to see these two tie the knot.

After looking through these shots by Catherine Rhodes, we know you'll be as in love with this couple (and their adorable pup) as we are!
